Industrial and technology giant Siemens has appointed Brian Holliday as the new Chief Executive Officer of its UK and Ireland business, which generated £4.6 billion in revenue in 2025. Holliday, based in Manchester, aims to build on the strong foundations already in place, leveraging his extensive experience within the company.
New Leadership for Siemens UK and Ireland
Brian Holliday has worked for Siemens for more than 32 years, holding numerous leadership and technology roles. He has been a member of the UK and Ireland senior leadership team for the past decade and will continue as managing director of Siemens Digital Industries. His appointment comes at a time of significant change in the industrial technology sector.
Background and Expertise
Holliday is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a visiting professor at the University of Sheffield. He holds degrees from Cardiff University and the University of Manchester, as well as an honorary doctorate from Middlesex University. He co-chairs the Made Smarter Commission, which helps small and medium-sized enterprises improve manufacturing productivity, and recently joined the board of Skills England to advocate for SMEs and social mobility. Holliday began his career as an apprentice at Texas Instruments and remains committed to applied learning and vocational training.
