Barclays customers can secure a £200 cash bonus or rewards worth up to £600 by switching their current account before August 27, 2026. The high street bank, which has branches in Birmingham, is promoting two switching deals to attract new customers.
Standard Account Offer
Anyone opening a standard Barclays current account and completing a full switch can receive a £200 cash payment. To qualify, customers must transfer at least two active direct debits and pay in a minimum of £2,000 within 30 days of opening the account.
Premier Account Rewards
For those eligible for a Barclays Premier account, the bank offers a choice of experiences worth up to £600. These include Michelin-starred dining experiences, luxury hotel stays, premium tickets to sporting and entertainment events, and family attraction passes. The Premier rewards could feature dining at restaurants linked to celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, overnight hotel stays, hospitality tickets for major fixtures and concerts, or annual family entertainment passes.
To qualify for a Premier account, customers must earn at least £75,000 a year, hold £100,000 or more in savings or investments with Barclays, or meet a combination of these criteria. Those switching to a Premier account must open it through the Barclays app, transfer at least two active direct debits, and pay in a minimum of £4,000 within 30 days.
Additional Perks for Existing Customers
Barclays is also promoting extra benefits for current customers this summer. Premier account holders can access rewards through Barclays Experiences, including complimentary drinks from Gail's bakery, cinema offers, prize draws, and entertainment giveaways. Meanwhile, all eligible personal Barclays debit card holders can earn 5% cashback on fuel purchases at Tesco petrol stations until July 31, capped at £10 per month.
