Midlands Legal Group Expands with Acquisition of Black Country Firm
Award-winning Midlands law firm FBC Manby Bowdler has completed the acquisition of established Black Country practice Jordans Solicitors for an undisclosed sum, announced today, March 3, 2026. This strategic move integrates Jordans Solicitors, which employs a team of 30 professionals across its offices in Blackheath and Halesowen, into the rapidly growing Adeptio Law Group family. FBC Manby Bowdler serves as the founding firm of Adeptio, established following a significant £30 million private equity investment from Horizon Capital in 2024.
Building a National Legal Platform
Neil Lloyd, CEO of Adeptio and FBC Manby Bowdler, emphasized the firm's ambitious growth strategy. "Our aim is to build a national legal services platform through the acquisition of high-quality regional firms, and we are delighted that Jordans Solicitors has joined us on that journey," he stated. Jordans has cultivated a strong reputation over more than three decades, specializing in property law, wills and probate, and family law, while providing personal and trusted legal services to clients throughout the West Midlands. Lloyd highlighted the firm's deep community roots and client-focused team, noting that this acquisition strengthens their presence in the broader Birmingham and Black Country region.
New Chapter for Jordans Solicitors
Following the completion of the deal, Michael Jordan, managing director of Jordans Solicitors, has transitioned to a Partner role with FBC Manby Bowdler. He expressed enthusiasm for the future, saying, "Joining FBC Manby Bowdler and the Adeptio Law Group marks a really exciting next chapter for Jordans. My father founded this firm in 1991, and our legacy of serving local communities in Blackheath and Halesowen means everything to me." Jordan added that the shared values and commitment to client and employee care were evident from the outset, providing access to greater resources, broader expertise, and a platform for substantial growth.
Ensuring Continuity and Future Growth
During the transition period, Jordans Solicitors will maintain its existing client-facing operations to ensure seamless service continuity for its West Midlands clientele. This acquisition follows FBC Manby Bowdler's recent expansion into Birmingham's prestigious Colmore Row district in 2025, complementing its existing offices in Knowle, Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Telford, and Worcester. The firm has reported robust financial performance, with revenues exceeding £18 million in the past year, underscoring its position as a key player in the regional legal sector.
