NS&I June 2 Announcement for 24 Million Premium Bonds Holders
NS&I June 2 Announcement for Premium Bonds Holders

National Savings and Investments (NS&I) has made a significant announcement for all 24 million Premium Bonds holders, confirming that the next results will be available on Tuesday, June 2. This update comes as the month of June begins, with NS&I already revealing the two biggest winners for the June jackpot.

Winners from Leeds and Cheshire

According to NS&I, which is backed by the Treasury, one bondholder from Leeds has won a £1 million prize from a £42,000 holding. The winning bond code is 662EK268242, with a bond value of £8,300. Another winner from Cheshire West and Chester also secured a £1 million prize, holding £33,800 in bonds with a value of £23,000. The code for this winner is 573GA618329.

The Leeds winner purchased their bond in February 2026, while the Cheshire winner bought their bond in March 2024. NS&I pays out two £1 million jackpots each month.

How Prize Distribution Works

NS&I divides the prize fund share allocated to higher value bands equally among remaining prize values. The process begins by calculating the number of £100,000 prizes. If the balance is less than half of that prize value, the amount is carried over to the £50,000 prize share. If the balance is at least half, an additional £100,000 prize is awarded, with the shortfall taken from the £50,000 prize share.

This method is applied to other prizes in descending order, from highest to lowest value. For £5,000 prizes, any surplus or shortfall is added to or taken from the medium value band.

NS&I offers a handy prize checker on its website for bondholders to verify their results. The next announcement is scheduled for June 2, 2026.
