The bank has confirmed that Andrew Hunter is joining as its new Managing Director of Venture Capital Coverage. This strategic hire forms a key part of the expansion of NatWest's fast-growing Venture Banking division.

Hunter will operate within the team spearheaded by Jenny Edwards, who was appointed as Head of Venture Banking earlier this year. Under her leadership, the team is focused on delivering tailored financial solutions and strategic expertise to the UK's most ambitious venture-backed scaleup companies.

A Proven Track Record in Innovation Banking

Andrew Hunter brings a wealth of relevant experience to his new role at NatWest. His impressive career history includes a position as Managing Director of Investor Coverage at HSBC Innovation Banking, where he managed relationships with leading venture and growth investors across the UK and Europe.

Prior to that, he gained extensive experience at SVB in London, working across its Corporate Banking, Funds Banking, and Venture and Growth Banking teams. Hunter began his financial career at Lloyds Banking Group, focusing on mid-market corporates.
