Two Men Charged with Drink-Driving After Dudley Crashes

Two men are set to appear in court charged with drink-driving after officers responded to two separate collisions in Dudley.

Charges Filed

Stanley Garrett, 49, from Tipton, and Jordan Bell, 34, from Dudley, have both been charged with drink-driving, according to West Midlands Police. Bell also faces charges of driving while disqualified, having no insurance, and failing to stop after a road accident.

Incident Details

The charges stem from two collisions that occurred while officers were on patrol. The first incident took place on Cornwall Road shortly after 8:45 PM on May 6, where a car had crashed into another vehicle. Dudley Response Officers arrested Garrett at the scene.

The second incident occurred on May 8 at around 11:20 PM. Officers from the Traffic Unit, patrolling in an unmarked vehicle on Stourbridge Road, witnessed a collision and subsequently arrested Bell on Cochrane Road.

Court Appearances

Both men have been bailed. Garrett is scheduled to appear at Dudley Magistrates' Court on June 2, while Bell will appear before the same court on June 4.
