West Midlands Safari Park Expands with Eight New Lodges for 2026
Eight New Safari Lodges Announced for West Midlands

Due to what it describes as 'overwhelming demand', West Midlands Safari Park has commenced work on eight brand-new luxury lodges set to open in 2026. This significant expansion will enhance the park's award-winning overnight accommodation, allowing more visitors to wake up beside some of Africa's most iconic animals.

New Lodges to Meet Soaring Popularity

The park, located near Bewdley in Worcestershire, will introduce four additional Giraffe Lodges and four completely new Rhino Lodges. Park management confirmed that construction is already underway on these immersive experiences.

Nolan Armstrong, Safari Lodges manager, stated: "Our Giraffe Safari Lodges have been incredibly popular since they opened, so we're thrilled to be adding four more to meet demand. They are definitely a guest favourite and continue to sell out."

To facilitate the new Giraffe Lodges, the park's four existing Rhino Lodges will be converted. These will offer sweeping views across the safari drive-through, where guests might also spot zebra, antelope, and buffalo.

Fresh Perspectives and Close Encounters

The new two-storey Rhino Lodges will be situated in a previously unused area of the park, providing a novel vantage point and promising an intimate encounter with the park's white rhinos. Guests will be able to observe these magnificent creatures from their private balconies as the animals roam nearby.

Armstrong added: "We're equally excited to introduce our new Rhino Safari Lodges in a brand-new area, giving guests another incredible opportunity to get up close to these magnificent African animals."

Every lodge is designed to blend modern comforts with an unforgettable wildlife adventure, featuring elegant interiors, spacious living areas, and panoramic windows. Each stay includes a three-course dinner and breakfast, plus exclusive after-hours access to certain areas of the safari park.

Booking Details and Expanded Offerings

Bookings for both lodge types are already open via the Safari Lodges' official website. Currently, prices for the existing Giraffe Lodges start from £509 per night for two guests, while the Rhino Lodges start from £449 per night.

With these eight new additions, the total number of Safari Lodges on-site will rise to 38. The park's diverse accommodation portfolio already includes lodges overlooking cheetahs, elephants, red pandas, tigers, lions, hippos, and white lions.

The four new Giraffe Lodges are scheduled to welcome their first guests in early Spring 2026, with the new Rhino Lodges expected to open later in the same year.
