Revolut strips Metal and Ultra customers of WeWork perk without notice
Revolut removes WeWork perk from Metal and Ultra plans

Revolut has confirmed that customers on its Metal and Ultra plans will no longer be able to access certain WeWork coworking spaces as part of their package, with locations in London and Edinburgh among those affected. The change, which took effect without prior notice to subscribers, follows a reported dispute between the fintech company and WeWork over pricing.

Metal and Ultra members lose monthly credits

Under the previous arrangement, Metal plan customers paid £14.99 per month and received one visit to a WeWork location each month. Ultra members, who pay £55 per month, were entitled to up to three visits per month. According to reports, customers only discovered the perk had been scrapped after arriving at WeWork sites having already booked a desk.

The changes came after WeWork sought to charge Revolut more for granting its customers access to its sites, prompting the companies to renegotiate their deal to “avoid withdrawing the benefit or passing increased costs” on to subscribers.

Revolut and WeWork respond

A Revolut spokesperson said: “We always strive to ensure that our Premium (Ultra and Metal) customers receive maximum value across our global partner network. While benefit availability can change due to various requirements, we remain committed to offering our members access to premium workspace solutions and other global lifestyle benefits.”

WeWork cited “economic factors” for its decision to scale back access to Revolut customers, adding that the decision reflected “increased occupancy levels and demand” in certain locations. WeWork said Revolut remained a “valued partner”, adding that it would continue to provide the fintech’s subscribers with flexible workspace access “across our global portfolio”.

Marketing pages still advertise the benefit

Despite the changes, the Revolut Metal plan landing page continues to state: "Get 1 credit each month to work with a new desk view at a WeWork location near you." The Ultra plan page adds: "Gain 3 credits each month to access hundreds of WeWork locations around the world." It remains unclear when or if these pages will be updated to reflect the reduced availability.

The reduction in WeWork access is the latest in a series of changes to Revolut's premium benefits, though the company has not announced any further adjustments. Subscribers affected by the change are advised to check the specific terms of their plan or contact Revolut support for clarification on which locations remain accessible.
