Aldi has launched a new summer range today (Thursday, May 21) with prices starting from just 59p. The Spanish-inspired collection gives shoppers the chance to create their own tapas-style spread at home.
New Wine and Tapas Favorites
Leading the line-up is the discount supermarket's new wine - the Baron Amarillo Sangria Frizzante (£3.99, 75cl), inspired by Spain’s vibrant Sangria de Cava. This refreshing serve combines a lively red wine base with zesty notes of orange and lemon, delivering bright bubbles and a fruity flavour - perfect for warm-weather gatherings. Best served chilled over ice with a slice of orange, it offers a playful twist on the much-loved Spanish classic.
The Baron Amarillo Sangria Frizzante launches as part of Aldi’s Spanish-inspired range, giving shoppers the opportunity to create their own tapas-style summer spread at home. Prices start from just 59p, with highlights including Gazpacho Soup (£1.49), Chicharricos (£1.09), Spanish Hand Cooked Crisps (£1.15), Paella Rice (£1.49) and Spanish Recipe Mixes (59p, 35g). For more substantial dishes, shoppers can try Aldi’s Spanish Style Beef & Pork Meatballs (£2.89), Pil Pil Prawns (£3.99, 250g) and fluffy Magdalenas (£1.69).
Loyalty Card Warning
It comes after Aldi warned shoppers using loyalty cards at the UK's major supermarkets they are overpaying by up to £126 a month compared to the cheapest prices available. The findings, based on Aldi's calculation using independent data from Which?, found that loyalty card shoppers at every major UK supermarket are still paying more than they would at Aldi even with their loyalty cards applied.
Based on the latest Which? Monthly supermarket comparison (April 2026), the weekly ‘loyalty tax’ per household vs Aldi prices is: Sainsbury's Nectar: £31.63 a week (£126 a month); Tesco Clubcard: £26.34 a week (£105 a month); Lidl Plus: £2.43 a week (£10 a month).
