Aldi is preparing to refresh its famous middle aisle offerings a mere 72 hours after Christmas Day, giving bargain hunters a new reason to visit. The supermarket giant has confirmed the swift post-festive change, with a fresh batch of Specialbuys set to hit stores across the UK.
Post-Christmas Specialbuys Schedule
In an update for shoppers, an Aldi spokesperson outlined the immediate plans. The next Specialbuy release is scheduled for Sunday, December 28, ensuring new stock lands promptly after the main holiday period. This will be followed by a double release in the first week of January, with drops set for Friday, January 2, and Sunday, January 4.
The retailer, which rivals Lidl in the discount sector, emphasised that its popular Specialbuys are unique products offered at low prices, spanning categories from DIY and kitchenware to garden furniture, sports, and camping gear.

Aldi advises customers to act quickly, as these limited-quantity items are known for selling out fast. The chain reiterated its well-known mantra: "once they’re gone, they’re gone." To help shoppers plan, the supermarket offers several ways to get a sneak peek:

Specialbuys are sent to stores nationwide every Sunday and Thursday. These products are exclusively available in-store, so shoppers need to use the online store finder to locate their nearest Aldi branch.
Expansion Amidst the Festive Rush
This rapid retail refresh comes as Aldi continues a significant expansion of its UK store network. The German discounter, now the UK’s fourth-largest supermarket with over 1,070 stores, recently opened five new locations in just 24 hours in the run-up to Christmas.
The new stores opened on Thursday, December 11, in Uxbridge, Old Kent Road (London), Northallerton, and Pershore. This was followed by a new store in Yate, Bristol, on Friday, December 12, bolstering its presence nationwide just in time for the festive shopping peak.
