Asda fuel price warning: 3p per litre discount ends in two weeks
Asda fuel discount ends in two weeks

Motorists across the UK have been given a crucial two-week warning that a significant fuel price discount at Asda forecourts is set to expire. The supermarket's limited-time offer, which has provided relief during the cost of living crisis, will end on 31 December 2025.

Discount Details and How to Claim

The promotion, which has been running throughout December, allows drivers to save 3p per litre on both petrol and diesel. To qualify, customers must spend £15 or more on groceries at one of the participating 500 Asda Express stores across the country. The fuel discount is then applied at the time of filling up at the associated Asda petrol station.

Joseph Sutton, Vice President for Asda Express, foodservice and fuel, emphasised the offer's intent. "We know every penny matters for our customers," he stated. "This offer gives people a little extra help - letting them save on fuel while offering unbeatable value as they stock up on everyday essentials or festive treats in the run-up to Christmas."

Asda's Fuel Price Promise and Forecourt Services

Asda operates 320 petrol stations nationwide, which it says are dedicated to supplying "low cost, high quality fuel." The supermarket giant has consistently positioned itself as one of the market's most affordable fuel providers over the last five years.

Beyond fuel, Asda forecourts offer a range of services for drivers, including:

  • Air pumps for tyre pressure.
  • Car washing facilities.
  • Convenience stores with kiosks selling items from magazines to hot drinks.

The company highlighted its ongoing commitment to value, stating: "At Asda we work hard to deliver low prices on all of the products and content we offer. We know that fuel often impacts on household income as prices often fluctuate from one week to the next."

What Happens When the Offer Ends?

The expiry of this promotion on 31 December means drivers will no longer be able to access the 3p per litre saving through grocery purchases. This comes as Asda faces stiff competition from other major supermarket chains like Sainsbury's, Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi, and Lidl, all vying for customer loyalty in a tight market.

Asda assures customers that its dedicated fuel team continues to work daily to secure the lowest possible prices. "As well as saving you money on fuel, we work very hard to ensure our product is of the highest quality," a spokesperson added.

With the deadline looming, drivers are urged to take advantage of the discount while it remains available, ahead of the anticipated price increase at the pump in the New Year.
