Birmingham City Transfer Rumours: Pre-Season Squad Updates

Birmingham City are set to return for pre-season training at the Elite Performance and Innovation Centre in Henley-in-Arden before June ends, with manager Chris Davies overseeing preparations for the new Championship campaign. The squad has seen minimal changes since the end of last season, with Jonathan Panzo released and loanees James Beadle, Tommy Doyle, and Ibrahim Osman returning to their parent clubs. However, Blues have activated their purchase option on Jhon Solis following his successful loan from Girona.

Incoming Transfer Rumours

TEAMtalk has linked Birmingham City with Bournemouth striker Daniel Jebbison. The 22-year-old Canada international scored six goals in the Championship for Preston North End last season and could be set for another loan move. It is claimed that newly-promoted trio Coventry City, Ipswich Town, and Hull City, plus Championship sides Burnley, Blackburn Rovers, Middlesbrough, Norwich City, and Blues, are interested in Jebbison's services.

Charlotte FC's Israel international winger Liel Abada was linked with Blues early in the summer. Sky Sports reported that Blues and Norwich City are in contention for Abada's signature. The 24-year-old played for Celtic for three years before moving to Charlotte in 2024.

Romeo Amane has been linked with Blues, as well as Championship rivals Sheffield United and Wrexham, via Pete O'Rourke. The 23-year-old central midfielder plays for Austrian Bundesliga side Rapid Wien, having arrived in Europe from his native Ivory Coast to join Swedish team Hacken in 2021.

Potential Departures

Marvin Ducksch is expected to leave Blues this summer, with several German clubs reportedly interested. The 32-year-old striker has two years remaining on his contract, which is rumoured to contain a release clause. Ducksch confirmed he is in discussions with other clubs, stating via BILD: "I'm definitely in talks with several clubs, including some in the Bundesliga. But it's still relatively early."

Right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel has been linked with a surprise return to Fenerbahce, 12 months after being released by the Turkish giants. Turkish journalist Erkan Yurusan says Osayi-Samuel is a candidate to replace Nelson Semedo if he leaves Fenerbahce this summer.

Jay Stansfield's exit would not be welcomed by Blues, but they cannot prevent interest from other clubs. Everton, Sunderland, Ipswich Town, and Hull City have been credited with an interest in the striker, who still has five years remaining on his contract at St Andrew's.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Demarai Gray has an exit clause in his contract active until July 10, with several clubs showing interest in the winger. Gray re-joined his boyhood club last summer after two years in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq, and it is believed he rejected offers from teams in top leagues around Europe.
