A-Level Results Across the UK
Today, students across the country are opening their A-level and Level 3 qualification results. According to Ofqual, 28.5% of UK entries were awarded an A or A* grade, up from 28.2% last year. The top A* grade alone accounted for 9.6% of entries, up from 9.4%.
Regulators at Ofqual noted that overall standard grading remains steady following the return to pre-pandemic benchmarks.

In the West Midlands, 24.2% of entries received top marks, identical to last year's rate. This stability follows prior years of standard resetting. The West Midlands ranks 6th out of England's 9 regions for A*/A grades.
