Festive Bargain Hunt Begins for Britain's Favourite Cream Liqueur
As the countdown to Christmas Day accelerates, Brits are turning their attention to stocking up on festive essentials. Among the seasonal staples, one indulgent drink consistently captures the nation's heart: Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur. This year, savvy shoppers can secure a remarkable deal on the classic one-litre bottle, ensuring their holiday celebrations are both merry and cost-effective.
Supermarket Price Showdown: Where to Find Your Bargain
From November 17, 2025, two of the UK's leading supermarkets have launched a compelling offer for their loyalty card members. Both Tesco Clubcard and Sainsbury's Nectar Card holders can purchase a one-litre bottle of Baileys for just £11. This represents a significant saving, as the standard price for this bottle is normally £22.50 at Tesco and £22 at Sainsbury's.
However, not all supermarkets are matching this price point. Rivals Asda and Morrisons are currently selling the same one-litre Baileys bottle at a higher cost. Asda is charging £13.98, while Morrisons has set its price at £14. It is worth noting that Morrisons had previously reduced the price, but it has since increased again.
This year's £11 deal marks a slight increase from last Christmas. In 2024, both Tesco and Sainsbury's offered the bottle for £10, and Morrisons famously dropped its price to an incredibly low £8.50.
More Than Just a Drink: Tesco's Festive Double Deal
The Baileys promotion is not the only limited-time offer bringing cheer to shoppers. Tesco has also unveiled a half-price deal on real Christmas trees for its Clubcard members. Shoppers can now buy a five to six-foot tall Nordman Fir tree for just £20, slashed from £40.
This deal was highlighted by consumer champion Martin Lewis on his ITV show, The Martin Lewis Money Show Live, on November 11. The offer is available for one month and will end on December 14, or until stocks last, so early action is recommended to avoid disappointment.
With these promotions, British households can enjoy a more affordable festive season, sipping on their favourite cream liqueur beside a beautifully decorated tree without straining their budgets.
