Morrisons Slashes Christmas Tree Price by 80% in Last-Minute Deal
Morrisons cuts Christmas tree price by 80%

Shoppers across the UK are being told not to walk but to run to their local Morrisons, after the supermarket giant implemented a dramatic price cut on one of its festive favourites.

An 80% Price Drop Sparks Frenzy

The grocer has been spotted reducing the price of its 6ft Snowy Christmas Tree by a staggering 80%, from the original price of £50 down to just £10. The incredible discount was first highlighted by a member of the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook.

Customer Catherine Pettigrew shared a photograph of the tree in-store, adorned with a large yellow label showing the new £10 price tag. Her post, which quickly gained traction, simply advised: "£50 down to £10 at morrisons, don't walk run!!"

Shoppers React to the Christmas Bargain

The social media post prompted a flood of reactions from other Brits hoping to secure a last-minute deal just days before December 25. Many were excited, with comments like "Praying my morrisons has one" and "Omg I need this."

However, some expressed scepticism about the availability of the heavily discounted trees, with one shopper predicting, "Bet there’s none in ours." Another raised a concern about potential quality, commenting, "Until you open them to put it up and discover they’re broken…. Twice." Despite the doubts, the post saw a huge number of people tagging friends and family to spread the word about the potential saving.

More Card Festive Vegetable Offers

This tree bargain coincides with a separate promotion for Morrisons More Card holders. From December 18 until December 26, customers can pick up a selection of festive field favourites for just 5p each.

The 5p offer includes:

  • British Carrots (1kg)
  • British Parsnips (500g)
  • British Brussel Sprouts (500g)
  • British Whole Swede

Shoppers can also grab a 1.5kg bag of British Best Roasting Potatoes for a better-than-half-price £1 until Boxing Day.

Fraser Lovatt, Market Street Director at Morrisons, said: “We work directly with British farmers and growers all year round to bring our customers the freshest, highest-quality British produce. From sprouts to spuds, seasonal veg are at the heart of the Christmas dinner plate and we’re proud to help our customers enjoy them for less, while continuing to champion and support the British farmers who grow them.”

The combined offers represent a significant push by the retailer to help customers save money during the expensive festive period, providing last-minute opportunities to cut the cost of Christmas essentials.
