Online Home Shop Sales Surpass £100 Million and Profits Triple
Online Home Shop Sales Top £100m as Profits Triple

Online Home Shop (OHS), the Trafford Park-based internet retailer specialising in bedding, furniture, and clothing, has achieved a significant financial milestone with annual turnover surpassing £100 million. The company's latest accounts reveal that turnover rose from £59.6 million to £100.2 million in the year ending January 2026, while operating profit tripled from £4.9 million to £15.3 million. Bosses hailed this as a second consecutive record-breaking year for the family-run business.

Drivers of Growth

The strong performance was attributed to an expanding customer base, increased repeat purchases, and diversification into new product categories, particularly garden, furniture, and clothing. Gross profit margin improved to 30.4%, up 5.6 percentage points from the prior year, due to enhanced profitability across all product lines, the incremental performance of new categories, and improved operational efficiencies.

Expansion and Investment

To support growing demand, OHS recently opened a new 327,000 square foot fulfilment centre in Trafford Park. This facility is designed to streamline stock management and distribution efficiency. The company, which currently employs around 200 staff, expects headcount to double to more than 400 during the current financial year. In the first half of the year, sales have already surged 50% year-on-year, with further growth anticipated.
