West Ham United have insisted that captain Jarrod Bowen is not for sale, despite persistent reports linking the winger with a move to Aston Villa. Sky Sports News reports that several Premier League clubs are keen on the former Hull City man, but the Hammers have no desire to sell him.
No Fee Quoted and Kit Launch Participation
According to Sky Sports, no fee has been quoted for Bowen, and the 29-year-old took part in West Ham's kit launch this week, ahead of the new Championship season. As things stand, Bowen will report back for pre-season training next week.
Speculation Fuelled by TalkSPORT Claim
The intense speculation surrounding the Leominster-born attacker was fuelled by a claim made on talkSPORT earlier this week. Presenter Andy Goldstein said: “This will happen, I can’t tell you my sources but this will happen – Jarrod Bowen to Aston Villa. You heard it here first. Jarrod Bowen to Aston Villa, I have heard, it’s 100 per cent.”
Bowen's Record and Contract
Bowen signed for West Ham in January 2022 and has since made 280 appearances, scoring 85 goals and providing 63 assists. He was an outside bet for Thomas Tuchel's World Cup squad and currently has 22 England caps. He has four years remaining on his West Ham contract.
