Transform Hub Plans 11 New Gyms in UK Expansion for Over-35s

Transform Hub Announces Major UK Expansion with 11 New Gym Locations

Fitness brand Transform Hub is set to significantly expand its presence across the United Kingdom this year, with plans to open 11 new gym locations. The North West-based company, which specifically targets individuals over the age of 35 seeking to improve their health, continues its aggressive national growth strategy.

Founder's Vision and Business Growth

Transform Hub was established in Preston by personal trainer James Calderbank and is now headquartered in Knutsford, Cheshire. The franchise business operates on a model of group-based personal training classes, blending online coaching with in-person sessions to create a comprehensive fitness experience.

Currently, Transform Hub boasts 27 gyms throughout the UK. The new venues are scheduled to launch in Worcester, Cheltenham, Southampton, Altrincham, Hull, Cambridge, Northampton, Nottingham South, Winchester, and Gosforth. This expansion is part of a broader goal to reach 100 gym sites by the year 2028.

Financial Performance and International Ambitions

In 2023, Transform Hub secured £1 million in investment from backers Andy Bell and Fergus Lyon, fueling its growth trajectory. The company reported impressive financial results for the previous year, with gym memberships surging by 28.4%, from 2,878 to 3,695 active members. This membership increase contributed to a substantial 61% rise in revenues, reaching £1.7 million.

Approximately 80% of Transform Hub's members fall within the 30-60 age range, aligning with its target demographic. Additionally, the franchise has obtained intellectual property trademarks in the United States and Europe, laying the groundwork for gradual overseas expansion in the future.

CEO James Calderbank on the Brand's Unique Approach

Founder and CEO James Calderbank emphasized the innovative concept behind Transform Hub. "When I first created Transform Hub, I identified a significant gap in the market for accessing personal training differently," he stated. "Online coaching offers exceptional accountability and lifestyle transformation, while in-person training fosters energy, community, and real momentum. Previously, most people had to choose between the two. Transform Hub effectively bridges this divide."

Calderbank also highlighted the opportunities this expansion presents for franchise partners. "What's equally exciting is the potential this creates for franchise partners: individuals interested in opening gyms under the Transform Hub brand," he added.

The expansion underscores Transform Hub's commitment to catering to the fitness needs of the over-35 demographic, combining technology with community-focused training to drive health and wellness across the UK.
