Pedal and Post, which specialized in sustainable cargo bike deliveries, formally appointed joint liquidators Brett Lee Barton and Margaret Carter of BK Plus in Walsall. This action follows the business's closure in January, marking the end of a 14-year operation that championed eco-friendly urban transport solutions.
Chief executive and founder Christopher Benton expressed deep regret over the situation, stating that despite exhaustive efforts to salvage the company, sustaining the business became impossible. He emphasized the firm's commitment to reducing emissions and removing vans from city roads through its people-powered delivery model.

The collapse has directly affected parcel deliveries, with customers like Carol Leonard experiencing significant delays. Leonard reported ordering three parcels on January 29 and 31, which went missing for over a week before Evri, the delivery partner, eventually apologized and shipped the items on February 10.
An Evri spokesman acknowledged the disruption, noting disappointment that their e-cargo bike delivery partner in Oxford ceased trading without notice. However, they assured that deliveries have been quickly reorganized in the area, with local teams working diligently to restore normal service levels.
