Barratt Homes Employees Conquer Fire Walk for Children's Charity
In a display of remarkable courage, a team of thirteen dedicated employees from Barratt Homes Northampton recently faced a fiery challenge to support a vital local cause. The group participated in a charity fire walk, braving a path of scorching hot coals to raise essential funds for KidsAid, a Northampton-based organisation dedicated to helping children and families navigate difficult experiences.
Impressive Fundraising Achievement
The team's bravery translated into a significant financial boost for the charity, with their efforts culminating in an impressive total of £6,208 raised. This substantial sum will directly aid KidsAid's mission of providing healing and empowerment to young people across Northamptonshire who are dealing with issues such as bereavement, illness, and anxiety.
Charlotte Cornish, Fundraising Manager at KidsAid, expressed deep gratitude for the initiative. "We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Barratt Homes Northampton who took part in the fire walk and helped raise such an amazing amount for KidsAid," she said. "Taking on a challenge like this takes real bravery, and their efforts will make a meaningful difference to the children, young people and families we support across Northamptonshire."
Corporate Commitment to Community Support
KidsAid has been selected as Barratt Homes Northampton's charity of the year for 2026, ensuring ongoing support through various fundraising events. The fire walk participants included the division's Managing Director, Simon Francis, alongside colleagues from across the entire company, highlighting a collective commitment to community engagement.
Simon Francis shared his pride in the team's accomplishment. "We are proud to support a charity that plays such an important role in our community," he stated. "Taking part in the fire walk was an incredible experience and doing it for KidsAid is what made every step worthwhile. Our team showed real courage and commitment, and I’m incredibly proud of our efforts to help the charity continue its fantastic work."
