A Night of Celebration for Local Causes

The Mayor's Ball will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Accrington. The Mayor and Mayoresses are organising the gala evening, which aims to unite the local community for a night of celebration while raising crucial funds for several important causes.

Reflecting on the role, the Mayor highlighted that one of its most valued aspects is the chance to support charities and organisations that make a real difference across Hyndburn. The selected beneficiaries for the 2026 ball represent a cross-section of vital community work.

Charities Set to Benefit from the Gala

Every penny raised from ticket sales and fundraising on the night will be distributed among four nominated groups. The chosen charities are:

  • Accrington Community Events, which organises free and affordable local events.
  • Andy’s Man Club, a men's suicide prevention charity.
  • Church and Oswaldtwistle Royal British Legion, supporting servicemen and women.
  • Oswaldtwistle Cadet and Scout Youth Zone, which provides fantastic support for young people.
