Carer's Link Lancashire

Carer's Link Lancashire supports unpaid carers across East Lancashire, offering information, guidance, and training to help carers feel valued and improve their health and wellbeing.

Kids in Rossendale

Kids in Rossendale supports disadvantaged children across the borough, including those affected by ill health, disability, financial hardship, or challenging circumstances. The charity has supported more than 1,000 local children and also helps community groups such as sports clubs and youth organisations.

Fundraising Events

Throughout the year, the Mayor and her charity committee organised a series of fundraising events, including coffee mornings, charity meals, a Christmas at Home event, a summer BBQ, a garden party, afternoon tea, and a ‘New to You’ clothing event. The Annual Charity Ball, held at The Ashcroft, raised £2,903.50 towards the final total.

Rossendale Mayor, councillor Michelle Smith, said: “I would like to thank my Mayoress, Jackie Oakes, and everyone on my charity committee for their hard work and support throughout the year. I would also like to thank everyone who attended an event, came to the charity ball, or made a donation. None of this would have been possible without your support.”
