Toolstation, a leading UK tool supplier, has raised nearly £46,000 for the British Heart Foundation through a clay pigeon shooting event held in Broadway. The fundraiser, which took place at the Cotswold Shooting Ground, brought together colleagues and supplier partners for a day of competition, camaraderie, and life-saving skill development.
Fundraising with a Purpose
The event was designed not only to raise money but also to promote heart health awareness among tradespeople. Attendees enjoyed shooting activities while learning vital CPR techniques from the British Heart Foundation's site team. The funds collected will support research into cardiovascular conditions and assist families affected by heart disease across the UK.
Toolstation partnered with the charity earlier this year to address heart health within the trade sector, a demographic often at higher risk due to physical demands and lifestyle factors. The initiative aims to educate tradespeople about heart disease risk factors and equip them with practical emergency response skills.
Event Success and Partnership
Paul Field, senior quality assurance and ESG lead at Toolstation, who organised the shoot, expressed his pride in the team's efforts: “As a team we are always looking for new ways to help fund the fantastic work that British Heart Foundation does and with over 100 partners joining us, we managed to raise an incredible figure for the work they do.”
The event saw participation from more than 100 supplier partners, reflecting the strong collaborative spirit within the industry. The day combined friendly competition with a serious mission, making it a memorable experience for all involved.
Charity's Gratitude
Hayley Gunn-Bruce, head of corporate partnerships at the British Heart Foundation, thanked Toolstation and its partners for their generosity: “A huge thank you to everyone at Toolstation and its supplier partners who helped raise an incredible £46,000. Every pound raised will help fund our lifesaving research and support people living with cardiovascular diseases.”
She added, “By raising vital funds and awareness of heart health and CPR, Toolstation is helping us protect the hearts of the nation, and we’re excited to see the difference this partnership can make in the years ahead.”
