Police are investigating a shocking assault in which a man had bleach thrown over him at a bar in Kidderminster.
Details of the Assault
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, December 7 at Nu Bar on New Road. According to West Mercia Police, a man was evicted from the venue at approximately 3.20am. He later returned to the premises and hurled a bottle of the household chemical over the victim.
The attacker also scratched the victim's face, neck, and arm during the assault. The victim sustained injuries to his face and body as a result of the attack.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Following the incident, officers arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
West Mercia Police have now launched a public appeal for information to help their investigation into the violent attack.
Appeal for Witnesses
A spokesperson for the force stated: "We are appealing for anyone to come forward who witnessed the assault."
