CCTV appeal after watches stolen at Rowley Regis garage

West Midlands Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to after two watches were stolen from two men at a Texaco petrol station in Rowley Regis. The robbery occurred on Sunday, May 3, at the service station on Oldbury Road.

According to the force, the incident took place between 2.45pm and 3.05pm. In the five months since, officers have conducted CCTV enquiries to identify the person responsible, but without success. The image has now been issued to the public in the hope that someone recognises the man.

Description of the man sought by police

The man in the CCTV image is described as white, with a goatee beard. He was wearing a black baseball cap and glasses, possibly sunglasses. He had on a black short-sleeved shirt, unbuttoned over a black t-shirt, black shorts, and black and white trainers with black socks. He was pictured holding a black phone and had a bracelet on his right wrist.

The image was released as part of an appeal by West Midlands Police, who said: “Can you help us identify this man?” The force added: “Officers have been investigating a robbery at a service station on Oldbury Road, Rowley Regis, where two watches were stolen from two men.”

Police appeal for information from the public

In a statement, the force continued: “Since the incident took place officers have been carrying out CCTV enquiries to establish who the man is but have been unsuccessful.”

“Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact us by calling 101 or using the Live Chat option on our website quoting crime number 20/237516/26.”

Alternatively, members of the public can make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Police have not reported any arrests in connection with the incident.
