A man has been taken into custody after police officers on a proactive patrol uncovered a machete and suspected Class A drugs inside a stolen vehicle in Erdington.
Police Patrol Leads to Significant Discovery
The incident unfolded on Sutton Road in Erdington, where officers from the force's Op Skybridge team were carrying out routine patrols. Their attention was drawn to a car that was suspected of having been stolen. After stopping the vehicle, the officers conducted a search.
The search proved fruitful, leading to the seizure of a small quantity of what is believed to be Class A drugs. More alarmingly, a machete was discovered concealed within the boot of the car.

As a direct result of the find, the driver, a man aged in his 30s, was promptly arrested. He was taken into custody on suspicion of multiple offences, including:
