The heartbroken family of an 18-year-old who died after his e-bike collided with a pelican crossing pole in Bilston have described him as the 'politest young man you could ever meet.'

Harvey Williams suffered fatal injuries in the incident on Bilston High Street on the evening of May 21, 2026. In a poignant statement released today, his loved ones remembered his 'beautiful nature' and the warmth he brought to those around him.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene. A MERIT trauma doctor and a critical care paramedic were dispatched alongside two ambulances and two paramedic officers, according to West Midlands Ambulance Service.
