Householder stabbed confronting robbers in Alvechurch shed

A homeowner in Alvechurch was stabbed after bravely confronting two armed robbers who targeted his property during the peak of Storm Goretti.

Confrontation in the snow

The incident occurred at a property on Rowney Green Lane in Alvechurch, just south of Birmingham, at around 11pm on Thursday, January 8. Despite heavy snowfall blanketing the area, two men broke into a garden shed.

The resident confronted the intruders, but during the altercation, one of the men produced a knife and stabbed him. Thankfully, the victim did not sustain serious injuries. The duo then fled the scene on a quadbike, making their escape through the snowy conditions.

Police appeal for crucial footage

West Mercia Police have launched an appeal for information following the violent burglary. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured relevant footage.

A police spokesperson stated: “We would like to hear from anyone who has CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage from around the time of the burglary and from anyone who has information that would help with our enquiries.”
