A man has died following a collision between a motorbike and a stationary car in Smethwick. The incident occurred on Foundry Lane at approximately 7.37pm on Tuesday, August 25.
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) dispatched an ambulance, a paramedic officer, a critical care car, and a MERIT trauma doctor to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found the motorcyclist in a critical condition.
Despite receiving advanced trauma care and advanced life support, the man was pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance staff.

A spokesperson for WMAS said: "West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 7.37pm reporting a collision involving a motorbike and a stationary car on Foundry Lane in Smethwick, Birmingham."
"One ambulance, a paramedic officer, the WMAS Critical Care Car and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended the scene," the spokesperson added.
"Upon arrival we found a man who was the motorcyclist in a critical condition. He received advanced trauma care and advanced life support from ambulance staff at the scene."

"Despite their best efforts, it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased by ambulance staff at the scene," the spokesperson concluded.
The man's identity has not yet been released, and no further details about the stationary car or its occupants have been provided at this time. The collision is likely to be investigated by West Midlands Police, though no official statement from the force has been issued yet.
