An elderly man has tragically died following a serious collision with a car on a main road in Shrewsbury. The incident, which occurred on Whitchurch Road, has prompted a renewed appeal for information from local police.

Details of the Collision

The collision took place at approximately 12:30 pm on Saturday, November 22. The pedestrian, a man aged in his 80s, was involved in an incident with a black Audi TT travelling on the Shrewsbury-bound carriageway.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the man was airlifted to hospital after sustaining what were described as serious, potentially life-threatening and life-changing injuries.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

In a sombre update issued on Sunday, November 23, West Mercia Police confirmed the man had passed away. Police inquiries are ongoing.
