West Mercia Police have released images of two men they believe can assist with enquiries into an assault on two women in Bewdley. The incident occurred after the victims left the Talbot pub and were attacked on Load Street, near the George Hotel, at around 11.30pm on Saturday, May 2.
What happened during the assault
According to a police spokesperson, the two women were walking along Load Street when they were approached by two men. Both women were assaulted, causing one to fall to the floor and the other to be punched to the side of the head. In a second incident, at around 11.40pm, one of the women was reportedly grabbed around the neck and pushed to the floor.
The force has not specified whether the two incidents involved the same two men, but officers believe the men pictured were in the area at the time and may hold vital information.
Police appeal for information
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers would like to identify these men as they believe they can help with their enquiries into assaults in Bewdley. At around 11.30pm on Saturday 2 May 2026, two women were walking along Load Street, Bewdley, after leaving the Talbot pub, when they were approached by two men. Both women were assaulted, causing one to fall to the floor and the other was punched to the side of the head. Around 11.40pm in Load Street, near the George Hotel, one of the women was grabbed around the neck and pushed to the floor."
The spokesperson added: "Officers believe the men pictured were in the area at the time of the assaults and may be able to help with enquiries."
