West Midlands Police have issued a public appeal to trace a woman with distinctive tattoos who may hold information about fraud offences in the Black Country. The request comes after multiple fraudulent transactions were carried out at a business premises in Wolverhampton on 11 November last year.
Nine months on from the incident, officers have released CCTV images in the hope that someone will recognise the woman. She is described as having red butterflies tattooed on one hand and text tattooed on the other. Police have noted that she may be wearing a wig in the images.
Ongoing investigation and public appeal
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Can you tell us who this woman is? Investigators want to identify her as part of enquiries into a fraud in Wolverhampton on 11 November last year, where multiple fraudulent transactions were carried out at a business premises in the city."
The spokesperson added: "CCTV has been retrieved and reviewed alongside a range of further investigations, which remain on-going. Officers are now asking for the public's help to trace the woman in the attached images."
Distinctive features and how to help
According to the force, the woman appears to have several distinctive tattoos which officers believe someone may recognise. It remains unclear whether she has distinctive hair or if the hair seen in the images is a wig.
