An 80-year-old woman was robbed and assaulted in Chelmsley Wood on Monday afternoon, July 13. Police are appealing for information after the victim was pushed to the ground and had her necklace stolen by a man on a bike.
Incident Details
At around 3:15 pm, the elderly woman was walking through Truro Walk when a man on a bike approached her from behind, pushed her to the ground, and snatched her necklace. He then rode off towards Ely Close. The victim suffered a head injury and was assisted by members of the public. She was taken to hospital where she was treated for an ankle injury and bruising.
Suspect Description
The suspect is described as a tall black man, wearing black jogging bottoms, gold sunglasses, and a balaclava. Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
