A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in her 60s at a property in Burnage, south Manchester, on Wednesday morning, July 8.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: 'Officers responded to reports of an assault at an address on Ivylea Road, Burnage at around 8am today (08/07/26). One woman aged in her 60s sadly died at the scene and a boy, aged 16, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning.'
