Elderly Couple Attacked in Halesowen Home

An elderly couple in their 80s were subjected to a terrifying home invasion in Halesowen, with police launching an urgent appeal for information. The incident occurred at a property on Mucklow Hill on the evening of Tuesday, 18 March, between 8pm and 8.30pm.

Details of the Attack

According to West Midlands Police, two suspects forced entry through a rear door of the home. Once inside, they assaulted the couple, both aged in their 80s, before stealing a quantity of cash and jewellery. The victims sustained minor injuries and required hospital treatment, but have since been discharged.

Detective Inspector Jim Mahon, from West Midlands Police, said: "This was a distressing incident for the victims, who are both in their 80s. They have been left shaken by what happened. We are doing everything we can to trace those responsible and bring them to justice."

Police Appeal

Officers are urging anyone with information, or who may have seen suspicious activity in the Mucklow Hill area around the time of the incident, to come forward. The suspects are described as two men who were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered. They made off from the scene on foot.

Detective Inspector Mahon added: "We would appeal to anyone who may have seen two men acting suspiciously in the area, or who has any information about the incident, to contact us. Even the smallest piece of information could help us identify those responsible."
