A man was taken to hospital with multiple serious injuries after being struck by a car in Walsall during the early hours of Friday, July 10.
Emergency services respond to Green Lane collision
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Green Lane and Blue Lane West at 12:14am. An ambulance, two paramedic officers, and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car were dispatched. An off-duty paramedic also stopped to assist.
Upon arrival, crews found a male pedestrian with multiple serious injuries. Immediate treatment was administered before he was transported on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further assessment.
No other injuries reported
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “On arrival, crews discovered one patient, a man, who was a pedestrian. He was found to have suffered multiple serious injuries in the incident for which ambulance staff immediately began administering treatment. The man was then taken on blue lights and sirens to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, for further assessment. There were no other injuries in the incident.”
West Midlands Police has been approached for comment. The incident remains under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
