MAFS UK's Bailey 'in total shock' as ex Rebecca goes public with new girlfriend
MAFS UK's Bailey reacts to ex Rebecca's new relationship

Former Married At First Sight UK contestant Bailey has publicly addressed the news that his ex-wife from the show, Rebecca, is in a new relationship, admitting he was left in "total shock" by the revelation.

Bailey's Unexpected Discovery

Rebecca recently made her new romance Instagram official with Liverpool footballer Lily Woodham, a move that blindsided her former TV husband. The couple, who were one of the strongest pairs in their season, announced their split shortly after the reunion episode aired, with Rebecca previously stating Bailey had "fumbled" their relationship.

Bailey revealed to tabloids that he had "no idea, zero" about Rebecca's new love life. He discovered the news on 22 December 2025, not from Rebecca herself, but after friends flooded him with messages. The pair no longer speak and do not follow each other on social media.

Reflecting on Past Chemistry

The father-of-one expressed that Rebecca never showed an interest in women during their time together on the show. However, he now looks back on her flirtatious behaviour with co-star Leah with fresh perspective. That dynamic led to a heated argument at a dinner party during filming, becoming a major talking point among fans, though both women denied it was more than friendship.

"I raised a few concerns around Leah’s flirting during the show and I was always kind of reassured that it didn’t really matter because Bec doesn’t fancy women," Bailey said. "I look back now, it’s almost like there was some sort of, maybe a little bit of chemistry or something that was just a bit more…"

He admitted the situation with Leah was new territory for him, marking the first time he had felt jealous of a partner's connection with another woman.

Moving Forward with No Bad Feelings

Despite the surprise, Bailey insists he holds no ill will towards his ex-wife. "I almost thought maybe it was a bit of like a joke at first, but obviously it’s serious, and like they look happy, so I’ve got no bad feelings towards it," he stated.

He even joked that if Rebecca had ended up with Leah, he "wouldn’t have been too surprised." As for his own love life, Bailey confirmed he is still single and looking for the "right one."

The story highlights the ongoing public interest in the lives of reality TV stars long after the cameras stop rolling, with personal developments continuing to unfold and captivate fans.
