Married At First Sight UK star Davide has defiantly gone public with a new boyfriend, following a series of pointed comments from his ex-husband and former TV spouse, Keye. The move comes after the pair announced their split in the wake of the show's reunion episode.
From Split to Soft-Launch: A New Romance Blooms
Davide and Keye each took to Instagram in December to confirm their separation. In his own announcement, Davide revealed the breakup was triggered by Keye being caught using the dating app Grindr while Davide was away working.
Once the initial dust had settled, Davide opted to 'soft-launch' his new relationship on Instagram—a decision that reportedly irritated Keye. Unfazed, Davide has since taken his revelations to TikTok, sharing clearer hints about his new partner. This included a cozy video of the pair cuddling, lip-syncing to audio that seemed to reference past troubles: "Does he make you laugh?" followed by "He doesn't make me cry." Davide captioned the clip, "❤️ he’s good to me ❤️."
The Cat Café Controversy and a Feline-Friendly Update
The new romance took a playful turn when Davide's boyfriend used Davide's TikTok account to answer a fan's question. The mystery man confirmed, "I do like cats! I had a cat, but she rehomed herself," before joking he was "cat approved."
This exchange is a direct nod to a now-infamous moment from the couple's MAFS UK homestay. Davide had organised a date at a cat café for Keye, which spectacularly backfired. Keye was visibly unimpressed, stating his idea of a surprise was "going to get diamonds and maybe a glass of champagne." When asked about cats, Keye replied, “I’d just rather have a dog,” later storming off and telling cameras the number of cats made him "uncomfortable." He subsequently explained on Instagram that the surroundings triggered "panic and anxiety mode."
Accusations, Defences, and Promised 'Receipts'
Following Davide's relationship soft-launch, Keye made claims on social media that the pair had "conveniently" gotten together just "two weeks" after the split. This timeline was swiftly challenged by fellow MAFS UK bride Leigh, who came to Davide's defence.
"I can confirm that it was absolutely NOT 2 weeks, more like 2 months?" Leigh insisted. "Davide is extremely happy and I think that’s what’s most important here?"
Keye later hosted an Instagram Stories Q&A, where he addressed the breakup. He admitted to being "aloof and avoidant" because he cared for Davide but felt he was no longer "getting the same respect back." He then made a startling promise to his followers, hinting at future revelations.
"There are so many plot holes and so many lies that are being told about myself," Keye stated. "I think at some point I have to defend myself and I'll be doing that in the next podcast that I do. I will be spilling absolutely everything and that will come with receipts."
The public unveiling of Davide's new relationship marks the latest chapter in the ongoing fallout from their televised marriage, with both parties now airing their sides of the story to their audiences.
