Married At First Sight UK star Leigh has publicly defended her former co-star Davide after his ex-husband, Keye, made a pointed comment about the timeline of Davide's new relationship.
The Spark: A 'Shady' Comment on TikTok
The drama unfolded on social media after Davide appeared to soft-launch a new romance on Instagram on 15 December 2025. He posted a video set to Charli XCX's 'Everything is Romantic', which ended with a clip of him hugging a mystery man in a hot tub, captioning it cheekily: "And um… if you clocked the end of the video… no you didn’t ??."
When a showbiz reporter discussed the video on TikTok, Keye responded directly in the comments, writing: "And finding him conveniently two weeks after we broke up, I love it personally ❤️" This remark was widely interpreted by fans as a 'shady' dig at the speed with which Davide had moved on.
Leigh Steps In to Set the Record Straight
Fellow MAFS UK bride Leigh swiftly intervened to counter Keye's claim about the relationship timeline. Commenting on a follow-up video, Leigh stated: "I can confirm that it was absolutely NOT 2 weeks, more like 2 months?. Davide is extremely happy and I think that’s what’s most important here?"
Her defence was backed by Davide's close friend, influencer Rachel Spicer, who added: "As someone who is very close to Davide and mystery man it definitely wasn’t 2 weeks?"
Fan Backlash and the Context of the Split
MAFS UK fans were quick to rally behind Davide in the comments, with many highlighting the reason for the original split. One fan pointed out: "Wait didn’t [Keye] literally have a dating app while married to Davide? Bit rich to comment shade to him after that ?"
This references the shocking revelation that Davide and Keye split after Keye was caught using the dating app Grindr while Davide was working away, a fact Davide disclosed after their reunion episode aired.
Faced with the backlash, Keye later posted another comment, quipping: “Well, I personally think I’m adorable, and shouldn’t be allowed to comment on TikTok unsupervised ??” Davide has not publicly responded to Keye's comments.
The online spat underscores the lingering tensions following one of MAFS UK's most dramatic splits, with Leigh positioning herself firmly as Davide's supporter in the aftermath.
