Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts has shared some joyous personal news, revealing she is expecting her first child.
A Magical Christmas Announcement
The 39-year-old pop star announced that she is five months pregnant, with her baby due in the spring. She shared the happy update with her fans on Instagram on December 27th, 2025.
Roberts described having a 'magical' Christmas Day, where she and her partner, footballer Mitch Hahn, shared the 'precious' secret with their families. "We’ve been keeping a secret. We are five months pregnant!" she wrote. "We can’t wait to meet our little one in the spring."
Flood of Celebrity Congratulations
The comments section of her post was quickly filled with warm messages from famous friends and former bandmates.
Kimberley Walsh, her fellow Girls Aloud member, declared it the "Best news ever." Comedian Alan Carr sent his love, while Perrie Edwards of Little Mix, who is also expecting, added her congratulations.
ITV's Dermot O'Leary also joined in, calling it "the best news."
From Pop Stardom to West End Success
Nicola Roberts first found fame in 2002 as part of the hugely successful girl group Girls Aloud, formed on the ITV show Popstars: The Rivals.
Last year, she reunited with bandmates Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, and Kimberley Walsh for a major UK and Ireland arena tour. The tour celebrated the group's legacy and paid tribute to their late bandmate Sarah Harding, who died from breast cancer in 2021 at the age of 39.
Alongside her music career, Roberts is currently starring as Persephone in the acclaimed West End production of the musical Hadestown.
