Danny Jones and Georgia Horsley still together after Maura Higgins kiss
Danny Jones and wife Georgia still together after kiss scandal

McFly frontman Danny Jones is back on The Voice UK tonight, but his personal life has faced significant public scrutiny in recent years. The 40-year-old musician, who won the 24th series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2024, issued a public apology to his wife, former Miss England Georgia Horsley, in 2025 after he was photographed kissing his I'm a Celebrity co-star Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards after-party.

Marriage survives the scandal

Danny Jones is still with wife Georgia Horsley despite the couple experiencing a highly publicized marriage strain after the kiss in March 2025. The couple celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary earlier this month, marking the milestone with a heartfelt family video on social media, captioned with the message, "Happy 12 Year Wedding Anniversary Darlin'."

Danny married the model and ex-Miss England in 2014 after four years of dating. They tied the knot in North Yorkshire the following year and welcomed their son Cooper in 2018. Georgia, 39, suffers from deafness in her right ear due to suspected meningitis she contracted as a child.

Apology and reconciliation efforts

Following the kiss, Danny issued a grovelling apology. He wrote: "Hello everyone. Sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately."

Sources indicated Georgia briefly moved out of the family home with son Cooper before they began working to reconcile. Both Georgia and Maura have never spoken publicly about the kiss. However, Georgia briefly addressed navigating "difficult situations" on her podcast 'Mum's the Word!' shortly after the news broke.

Maura Higgins' reaction

Although Maura, 35, has kept quiet about the kiss, a source at the time told The Mirror that Maura had been in a "bad way and really struggling." They said: "Maura is a tough character but the reaction to events has been utterly relentless, and it's fair to say it's taken its toll."

A source close to her revealed: "She has found all of this very difficult to navigate. She appreciates she's in the public eye and there is extra interest around her, but the abuse is off the charts, and people need to calm down. She is trying to treat things as business as usual, but it's hard."

The Voice UK starts tonight on ITV one at 7pm.
