The glittering world of Emily In Paris has lost one of its original stars. As the hit Netflix series returns for its fifth season, fans will notice a significant absence: Camille Razat, who played the complex character of Camille, has departed the show.
The End of Camille's Parisian Journey
Both the actress and the show's creator, Darren Star, have stated that her exit marks the natural conclusion for her character's storyline. The fourth season saw Camille's arc reach a dramatic peak. After discovering she was pregnant, she nearly married Gabriel, Emily's original love interest. However, she called off the wedding at the rehearsals upon realising Gabriel still harboured feelings for Emily. This was compounded by a heartbreaking false pregnancy, which profoundly changed Camille's perspective on life.
Breaking things off with her secret girlfriend, the character chose to focus on her desire to start a family, moving away from the turbulent love triangle that had defined her time on the show.
Camille Razat's Official Farewell
In April 2025, Razat confirmed her departure publicly via Instagram. She wrote a heartfelt message thanking the production team and explaining her decision. "After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris," she stated. Razat expressed deep gratitude to Darren Star, Netflix, and Paramount Pictures, noting they had left the door open for a potential return. She concluded, "This character has meant a lot to me, and I feel that her storyline has naturally come to an end. It felt like the right moment to explore new horizons."
Her co-star, Lily Collins, who plays Emily, responded with support, calling Razat a "rockstar" and praising their shared journey.
What Is Camille Razat Doing Now?
Since leaving the Netflix series, the French actress has been exceptionally busy. She revealed in April that she had recently wrapped filming on two major projects: the series Nero for Netflix and The Lost Station Girls for Disney+.
Beyond acting, Razat has launched her own production company, @tazar_production. Initially focusing on music videos and short films, the company is now developing its first feature film. Additionally, Razat continues her successful modelling career, boasting over 1.4 million followers on Instagram.
While the champagne may still flow in Emily In Paris, the character of Camille has officially left the party, with the actress embarking on an exciting new chapter in her career.
