Sky TV customers who currently access TNT Sports through their subscription are being urged to take immediate action ahead of a significant change on March 26. Warner Bros Discovery has officially confirmed that HBO Max will launch in the United Kingdom and Ireland on this date, and it will become the new streaming home for TNT Sports content.
What Sky TV Subscribers Need to Know
From March 26, TNT Sports will no longer be available through the discovery+ platform. Instead, it will migrate exclusively to HBO Max for streaming access in the UK. This change affects all existing customers who currently watch TNT Sports via discovery+.
TNT Sports broadcasts a comprehensive range of premium sports content, including:
- Premier League football matches
- Emirates FA Cup and Adobe Women's FA Cup
- UEFA Champions League fixtures
- Gallagher Premiership Rugby and Premiership Women's Rugby
- UFC events and MotoGP racing
- Grand Slam tennis tournaments
- Grand Tour cycling competitions
How to Continue Accessing TNT Sports
Existing TNT Sports customers who wish to maintain their access to this premium sports content must take specific steps before the March 26 deadline. According to official guidance, customers should simply download the HBO Max application or visit the HBOMax.com website, then sign in using their existing discovery+ login credentials.
TNT stated clearly: "On 26 March, TNT Sports will move from discovery+ to its new streaming home on HBO Max in the UK. For existing customers, to keep streaming TNT Sports, simply download the HBO Max app, or go to HBOMax.com, and sign in using existing discovery+ login details."
Sky TV Package Changes
From March 26, customers with specific Sky TV packages will receive HBO Max Basic with advertisements included in their existing subscriptions at no additional cost. This applies to subscribers of:
- Sky Stream
- Sky Glass with Sky Ultimate TV

For NOW customers, a new bundle called NOW Entertainment & HBO Max (Basic with Ads) will become available. Existing NOW Entertainment subscribers will be automatically transitioned to this new Entertainment and HBO Max Membership package, with the Basic with Ads tier integrated directly into the NOW platform.
Sky's Expanded Content Offering
Sky has confirmed that this new agreement will include the advertisement-supported version of Max, Warner Bros Discovery's premium streaming service, bundled for Sky customers without any extra charges when it launches in the UK and Ireland in early 2026.
Sky explained: "The new agreement will now include the ad-supported version of Max, WBD's premium streaming service bundled for Sky customers at no extra cost, when it launches in the UK and Ireland in early 2026."
Sky customers will continue to enjoy popular shows such as House of the Dragon, The White Lotus, and The Last of Us, along with any new series aired before the end of 2025, through Sky Atlantic and Sky's On Demand service.
This enhanced partnership ensures Sky customers will benefit from an expanded range of Warner Bros Discovery content, including HBO and Max Originals, plus other series that will be exclusive to the Max platform. This includes forthcoming series based on the Harry Potter franchise.
