Morrisons Introduces Free Kellogg's Breakfast for Children in Hundreds of Stores

Morrisons has implemented a significant change across 344 of its stores that is set to delight parents nationwide. The supermarket chain, which competes with rivals like Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Lidl, and Aldi, has announced this initiative to make life easier for families during school breaks.

Expanded Holiday Breakfast Scheme

The program is being rolled out at all 344 Morrisons locations that feature an in-store Morrisons Café. Children can now receive a complimentary Kellogg's breakfast every single day during school holidays, with the offer extending until the end of the current year.

Customers have the option to select from popular breakfast cereals such as Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies. The "Kellogg's Breakfast" package also includes a choice of dairy or non-dairy milk to accompany the cereal, along with either an apple or a banana as a healthy fruit portion.

Supporting Families During Challenging Times

This means that kids can enjoy a free bowl of cereal and a serving of fruit daily throughout all school holidays this year, including the ongoing half-term break. Matt Khan, Senior Trader for Morrisons Café, emphasized the importance of this initiative.

"We recognize that school holidays can place additional strain on families, from increased food costs to disruptions in daily routines," Khan stated. "By extending our collaboration with Kellogg's across all school holidays, we are taking further steps to help families enjoy a balanced breakfast together more easily."

He added that the offer is specifically designed to assist parents and grandparents in navigating what can often be "challenging" holiday periods.

How to Claim the Free Breakfast

To take advantage of this deal, shoppers simply need to request a 'Kellogg's breakfast' at the café till point. According to Money Saving Expert, the website founded by BBC and ITV personality Martin Lewis, this straightforward process makes the offer accessible to all.

Andrew Ridge, Social Impact Manager at Kellogg's, commented on the broader context of the initiative. "Our research underscores the significant gap that emerges during school holidays when many essential breakfast clubs are not operational," Ridge explained.

Money Saving Expert further clarifies: "Kellogg's has partnered with Morrisons for this promotion, which is available in all Morrisons Cafés while supplies last. This is a completely free offering with no minimum purchase required, though it is limited to one bowl of cereal and fruit per customer each day."

This initiative represents a meaningful effort by Morrisons and Kellogg's to provide practical support to families, ensuring children have access to nutritious meals during school breaks without financial burden.
