Recall Issued for Undeclared Hazelnuts in Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

Krispy Kreme has urgently recalled its World Cup-inspired Pitch Perfect doughnut and the Matchday Dozen pack after discovering that the product may contain hazelnuts not listed on the label. The company, which operates branches in Birmingham, warned customers with hazelnut allergies not to eat the doughnuts and to return them for a full refund.

The recall affects individually sold Pitch Perfect doughnuts purchased on 19 or 20 June 2026, as well as Matchday Dozen packs containing the same doughnut. The products have best-before dates of 21 and 22 June 2026. Krispy Kreme stated that the recall is a precautionary measure due to the undisclosed hazelnut filling.

Affected Stores and Locations

The recall applies to purchases from Krispy Kreme shops in Peterborough, Peterborough Queensgate, Leicester, Nottingham, Ipswich, Norwich, and Cambridge partner locations. No other Krispy Kreme products are affected. Additionally, the doughnuts were sold at various supermarkets and service stations across the East of England and Midlands, including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Costco, Moto, and Welcome Break outlets.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) advised: “If you have bought the above products and have an allergy to hazelnuts (nuts), do not eat them. Instead, return the products to the store you purchased them from for a full refund (with or without a receipt).” The FSA confirmed that the products may contain hazelnuts not mentioned on the label.
