A 14-year-old boy has been left with serious injuries following a crash on the A442 near Bridgnorth, with police arresting a man in connection with the incident.

Crash Details

The collision occurred on the A442 at Quatford, near Bridgnorth, at around 8:15pm on Friday, 2 August. Emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a single-vehicle crash. The boy was found with serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

Arrest Made

West Mercia Police confirmed that a man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue. The force is appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Chris Dufty of West Mercia Police said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage that could assist our investigation. Any information, no matter how small, could be vital in helping us piece together exactly what happened.”

The road was closed for several hours to allow for collision investigation work. Police are urging anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 519 of 2 August.
