Free Cervical Screening for Women at The Fort Shopping Park
Free Health Tests for Women at The Fort This Weekend

The Fort Shopping Park in Erdington is providing free health examinations for women this weekend. Birmingham SmartCare and NHS Birmingham & Solihull have set up a mobile cervical screening service at the retail park for anyone whose screening is due or overdue.

Event Details

The service will run from 9am to 3.30pm on Saturday, May 23. There is no need to book an appointment; attendees can simply turn up. The mobile unit will be located in the parking bays near the florist. Parking at The Fort is free, making it convenient to combine health care with shopping.

What is Cervical Screening?

Cervical screening, previously known as a smear test, checks the health of the cervix and helps prevent cervical cancer. All women aged 25 to 64 are invited for screening every five years. The NHS recommends that everyone with a cervix should have regular screening.
