Chatsworth 10k Returns After Record £54k Year

With just weeks to go until race day, runners are being encouraged to secure their place at the Blythe House Hospice Chatsworth 10k, following a record-breaking event last year that raised more than £54,000 to support local hospice care.

Event Details and Route

Taking place on Sunday, September 13, the much-loved annual event returns to the spectacular Chatsworth House estate, where runners of all abilities will take on the scenic 10k route whilst raising vital funds to help Blythe House Hospice continue providing compassionate care and support to local families. Whether participants are aiming for a personal best, tackling their first ever 10k, or simply looking to enjoy a unique challenge in beautiful surroundings, every step they take will help support local hospice care.

Fundraising Coordinator's Call to Action

Rachael Gee, fundraising and events coordinator at Blythe House Hospice, said: "Last year's Chatsworth 10k was simply incredible. Seeing more than 1,000 people come together to raise more than £54,000 for local hospice care was something we'll never forget."

"We're now counting down to this year's event, and we'd love even more people to join us. Whether you're a seasoned runner or have been thinking about signing up for your first 10k, there's still time to get involved."

"Every runner who takes part helps us continue providing compassionate care, practical support and comfort to local people and their families. By signing up, you're not just taking on a challenge - you're helping ensure our care remains available, free of charge, for those who need it most."

Funding Gap and Community Support

Only 28% of Blythe House Hospice's running costs are funded by the NHS, with the remaining income needing to be raised through the generosity of the local community. Events like the Chatsworth 10k play a vital role in helping Blythe House Hospice continue providing specialist care and support across North Derbyshire.

Sponsors and Partners

The event is proudly sponsored by BRM Solicitors, with additional support from Chatsworth House Estate, The Eye Place Opticians, iBottles and iKrafts, TF Jackson, John F Hunt Power, AFS Independent Financial Advisors, Bloomers of Bakewell, Buxton Water, Holdsworth Foods, Up & Running UK, and White House Clinic.
