Former Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion striker has completed a move to a League Two club, according to reports.
The 32-year-old forward, who has been a free agent since leaving Scottish club St Johnstone in the summer, has put pen to paper on a deal with League Two side Salford City.
The transfer was confirmed by the club on Tuesday, with the striker signing a contract until the end of the season.
Career Path Through the Midlands
The forward began his career at Aston Villa, where he made his Premier League debut in 2011. He later had spells at Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion, scoring a combined total of 27 league goals across those three clubs.
He also had loan spells at various clubs, including Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday, before moving to Scotland in 2021 to join St Johnstone.
During his time at St Johnstone, he scored 15 goals in 67 appearances, helping the club win the Scottish Cup in 2021.
Move to Salford City
Salford City, who currently sit 15th in League Two, have been looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the January transfer window.
Manager Graham Alexander said: "He brings a wealth of experience and a proven goal-scoring record at this level. We're delighted to have him on board."
The striker is expected to be available for selection for Salford's next league match against Crawley Town on Saturday.

The signing is seen as a significant coup for Salford, who are aiming to push for a playoff spot in the second half of the season.
The striker's experience in the Championship and League One will be crucial in helping the younger players in the squad develop.
He becomes Salford's second signing of the January transfer window, following the arrival of midfielder Elliot Watt from Bradford City.
