Birmingham City return to The ARMCO Arena this evening (July 15) for the annual Arthur Cup against Solihull Moors, with kick-off set for 5:30pm. Doors open to supporters at 4pm.
Kick-off change to avoid England clash
The match was originally scheduled for 7:45pm but was moved to 6pm to avoid a clash with England's World Cup semi-final against Argentina. The two clubs have now agreed to bring it forward another 30 minutes to 5:30pm. Supporters are invited to stay at The ARMCO Arena after the game to watch the semi-final, with stadium facilities and bars remaining open throughout the evening.
How to watch the Arthur Cup
The game will be streamed live on Blues+ for £6.99, or fans can purchase access to all pre-season matches for £19.99. The match honours Arthur Labinjo-Hughes, the young Blues fan who tragically died in 2020 at age six. Birmingham City have won the last two editions of the Arthur Cup, with Alfons Sampsted scoring the winner last year.
Last year's fixture was moved to St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park after Moors' pitch was deemed unplayable. A second-string Blues team secured a 1-0 victory.
Team news and absentees
Manager Chris Davies is expected to field a full-strength squad, with the next friendly against Burton Albion scheduled for next week. Ethan Laird and Marvin Ducksch are the only confirmed absentees for Blues. Dael Fry and Jay Stansfield are expected to feature after sitting out Friday's friendly win over Huddersfield Town in Portugal.
